Creativity
Creativity is an essential part of child development and a vital part of who we are as human beings. Creativity is also extremely important for concentration, as focus is required for longer periods of time, it helps children who cannot yet verbalise how they feel to become better communicators.
Children express themselves through various mediums to show their perspective and define who they are and who they want to become. Painting and drawing is a brilliant way for children to showcase their ideas and become more assertive in their choices. Being proud of their work and getting positive feedback makes them feel valued and appreciated, giving them a sense of confidence.
Making music and dancing are also always encouraged. It develops gross motor skills as it helps them focus on their rhythm and beat building their confidence by allowing them to let go of their inhibitions whilst having fun.
